Two countries, one lens.
I am a psychologist and a psychoeducation specialist. Most of my career has been in communication and applying psychology insights to help inspire positive change in schools and organisations.
Important conversations need language that is both positive and transformative. I believe that the ability to understand and communicate helps to fill the gap that allows for conflict and misunderstanding. That gap is where bullying hides, where a neurodivergent kid gets read as difficult, where assumptions live. where the
My work is giving people that language in various forms across the UK where I live and Brazil where I come from. The inevitable translation between cultures, experiences, systems and language between them is where a lot of the insight comes from.
MY LIFE IN THREE ACTS
A life never short of extraordinary encounters, stories and courage to create new spaces.
ACT ONE · THE BACKSTORY IN BRAZIL
I built my practice from the ground up in Brazil working on bullying prevention before it even had any regulations. As lead representative for Kidpower International, I adapted US violence-prevention programmes for Brazilian schools and trained hundreds of educators and students. I co-authored a government-endorsed bullying-prevention guidebook with MPERJ, distributed to thousands of schools nationwide. The lesson came fast: the conversations that mattered most were the ones nobody had language for.
ACT TWO · THE UK BECOMES HOME
Then life took me across the ocean, and psychology met storytelling. An MSc in Business Psychology sharpened how I understood behaviour change and systems. In 2020 I co-founded GivingBack Films, challenging how to communicate social impact. The work reached The Diana Award, the NHS, and the EY Foundation. Recently, I wrote and produced The Diana Award's anti-bullying campaign film and hosted their podcast series with teachers and students across the UK. This was the seed to The Psychoeducation Studio and a return to the foundations of my professional life.
ACT THREE · BRINGING IT TOGETHER
After twelve years living in the UK, what first seemed to be two separate paths of work found each other again. The in-between of belonging to two different cultures matured into insight. Nearly two decades of evidence-based practice, social-impact entrepreneurship, and multicultural life inside a neurodiverse family is held by a single conviction: understanding is the first act of change. I am now able to offer my work across both of the countries I love and belong to.
“My practice is shaped by Brazil’s warmth and collective ethos, and by the UK’s tradition of reflection, evidence and systems thinking.”
FAQ
The questions I get most often.
-
A psychoeducation specialist translates applied psychology into tools and conversations that nonspecialists can use. In a school setting, that means working with leaders, staff, students, and families to build shared understanding of a topic (bullying, neurodiversity, identity, belonging) and to equip the community to handle it well on its own, over time.
-
I am a qualified psychologist, but I do not run a therapy practice. My work is with schools as institutions. If a student or family needs therapy, I will signpost them to the right clinician. My contribution sits at the layer of culture, staff capability, whole-school programme design, communication and strategy.
-
The opposite. Working across Brazil and the UK keeps me honest. It means I see how a topic lands in different cultural registers, which makes me a better practitioner in each. I do not offer one size-fits-all programmes. For each country I have work that has been carefully developed to fit its needs.

The UK work is a partnership with my video production company called GivingBack Films. This is The Psychoeducation Studio: a specific, student-facing programme helping schools to create assets that are authentic and ethically made often around topics that are managed by pastoral care. The Brazil work carries my experience in anti-bullying with a different objetive. The Sistema Internacional Integrado Anti-Bullying is a school-level consultancy for diagnosis, training and intervention.
